Celebrate National Trails Day by Volunteering
Volunteering Opportunity with the ATA
Come join some great people for some good times for National Trails Day Saturday June 5 from 9am-3pm as we team up with Coconino National Forest and the Arizona Trail Association to do some trail maintenance on section 31A in the Fischer Point area of the trail! We’ll start the morning with a safety talk, grab provided tools, load up with your own water, snacks, and lunch, and hike out to the work site. Once out there, we’ll be working as a team to clean drains, set in rock work, shore up the tread surface and enjoy the beautiful spring weather of Northern Arizona. We’ll break for lunch on the trail and put in some more time before wrapping up the work day in the afternoon. Don’t forget to wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, and good hiking shoes/boots as well as bring a pair of work gloves, water, lunch and snacks, and a bike/climbing helmet if you have one. See you out on the trail!
You will receive detailed directions to the meeting area in an email once you register for the event here:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that all volunteers read our COVID-19 protocols before attending an event. If you have any symptoms of illness or believe you may have been exposed to someone with COVID, please protect your fellow trail enthusiasts by staying home.
We are requiring face masks to participate in the event. You will only need to wear the mask when you are unable to maintain the 6-10′ distance from others, but you need it with you in order to head out on the trail. If you need a mask, we’ll have a few on hand at the start of the event.
