FTI’s Trail Academy is an experiential training for trail enthusiasts who want to give back.
This spring, we’re launching the Trail Academy with 2 pilot events!

Attendees will learn how to assess trail maintenance issues in a fun, interactive setting. Through an outdoor classroom session and on-the-trail practice, participants will gain practical knowledge of:
- Leave No Trace ethics
- Trail ettiquete
- Sustainable trail design
- Trail features and structures
- Landscape hydrology
- Trail maintenance issues and solutions
- Public lands volunteerism
